Harvest Season Newsletter
Personal Updates
Trees are changing color, leaves are falling left and right, and everyone is freaking out about Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. It just feels so cozy as we await sweater weather to come in. The game Stardew Valley has literally been my best friend for the past few weeks, as I recently underwent dental surgery for a skin graft on my bottom front tooth. Little did I know there would be so much pain associated, although I’m happy that I got to finally do it after putting it off for so many years. All I have to say from this experience is to not delay so long that it becomes severe. Remember that it costs more to replace a bad tooth than it does to maintain it. Another update is that my love and I will be moving soon. I won’t disclose where just yet, as we are still deciding what to do. An exciting new chapter of our lives is coming soon. I’m excited to be doing something different.
Book Updates
For a limited time, the e-book for Hatred For Bugs is going to be free, woohoo! Pick up your copy on Amazon today! I do have to ask that once you are finished with the book, if you can please leave me some feedback through a review. With this being my very first novel, I need all the advice I can get to write better in the future. Be completely honest with me. I can take it, I promise.

Right now, I’m working on a devotional journal called Faith Journal Vulnerability, a super fun and interactive journal with cute illustrations and stories about my life to bring up some thoughts in the reader’s head. Of course—scripture is included using the NLT version (the only one I’m able to fully understand.) There is also a reflection section to be able to journal or doodle in. This project has taken me years to complete, but I am so excited to finally be finished with the editing and painting part of it, the first draft. My beta readers are going to eat that manuscript up! The next step will be getting it into the hands of a professional editor.
The other project I’m working on every other day is a compilation of fun Short Stories based on dreams I’ve had over the past year. For some reason, I’ve been gifted the ability to have very vivid dreams every night. Some of my husband’s dreams are also included. I won’t say too much about this one since I just started back in July. All I can say is that it’s going to be EPIC!
Painting Updates
I’ve decided to change things up a little bit. Before, I was creating four paintings per month and slacking on the marketing portion of it. I do not want to forget about the paintings I’ve worked so hard on. In order to pay more attention to my work, I’ll be painting two new originals per month. Now available in the main shop and on Amazon, I’m happy to introduce my two newest babies—Mola Mola Sunfish & Flying In The Italian Alps. Both are for sale for 20% off using the discount code at checkout: HOLIDAY20.
Also, I’d like to explain my process a bit better. It seems to be hard for some people to understand. I first create the original idea, paint it, and then post it for sale. Once I receive an order, I paint a completely brand new painting based on the original idea. No painting is ever going to be exactly the same—it’s unique and a fun way to keep things completely original and fresh. Sometimes, I’ll change something if the original idea was off a bit, such as straighter lines, better color usage, or refined positioning. Essentially, each painting will be very similar to the original idea, if not much better than the first one. As I paint each one more and more, as orders come in, I notice that the quality gets better and better every time.
Fellow Book Recommendation
I’m not about to sit here and not tell you about the amazing books I’ve been reading. Recently, I joined a club where I can review books and get paid. It has been an awesome experience. I love giving authors credit where they deserve it. I read roughly about two or three books per month. This time, I’ll recommend the one that was most eye-catching to me.
Maybe An Artist By Liz Montague
A heartwarming story about Liz and her journey to become the person she has been called to be—an artist. If you’ve ever had trouble finding your purpose in life, read this book.
Final Thoughts
Thank you so much for sticking with me. I know that was a whole lot. However, when I’ve got a lot to say, I say it when the time is right. I hope that you have an amazing month ahead. Wish me luck on my move and that my mouth heals properly so that I can continue working and maybe go out on some hikes! If you can, recommend this newsletter to someone you know who would like it. I only send these out once per month. Be blessed.
Until next time,
Victoria Loria
